I can’t believe how fast the year is flying by, and with April here, we’re officially two years into our renovation journey.

This month, we turned our attention to what will become our third bedroom. Previously, this space was actually part of our main bedroom but after dividing the room into two back in 2022, it’s been used as a bit of a materials/tools store while we’ve worked on the upstairs of the house.

Similar to our office, there was lots of unused space behind the wall which we wanted to utilise, so we removed the stud wall and exposed the eaves. It was a messy and dusty job but getting the wall out of the way has made such a difference and really shown us the space we’re working with.

Once the wall was out, we got to work cleaning out the insulation by keeping the decent stuff and binning the rest.

I can’t wait to see how the room will transform when we start on the next tasks: strengthening the joists and installing some windows!
