I didn’t write an update post in February because, to be honest, we took the month off!

We finished the office right at the beginning of the month and took the rest of the time just to chill out and enjoy it.

Mid-March we got back into the work, starting with the fence.
We added the capping onto the fence we put up last year and got started on the one down the side too, digging holes for, and cementing, the posts then adding the rails and boards.

We also repainted our office this month too; after painting it in January with Dunelm’s Lilypad we decided to get it colour matched at Dulux and repaint it. While the colour was lovely, it marked like crazy and was starting to look so grimey and old!

Also this month we bought two pieces of furniture from Facebook marketplace.

The first was a grey armchair originally from Next which is strikingly similar to the one I’ve had on my wishlist from the Cotswold Company for years:

The second was a coffee table which I thought was solid oak and a bargain. Unfortunately, after bringing it home, I discovered the majority of the top was MDF, not solid wood. Safe to say I was pretty disappointed but it’s a note for next time to thoroughly check furniture before bringing it home!
