I am getting so bad at remembering to take plenty of photos and videos of the house.
But this month, we finally finished the upstairs bedroom and moved in! We’re still waiting on shutters to be fitted which won’t be until the new year and I need to do the final bits of decorating but it’s furnished, it’s warm, it’s finished.

Once the bedroom was done work started straight away on the living room which we’re hoping to have finished before Christmas.
To properly decorate it, my Dad and David are:
• Removing the old coving and replacing with new
• Insulating under the floorboards
• Moving and installing the new radiator
• Boarding and replastering the ceiling
• Insulating the bay window and replacing the cills
• Removing and replacing the ceiling rose, the skirting boards, door frame and door
• Sanding and filling the holes/bumps on the walls
• Boarding the floor with plywood then installing new flooring
• Fitting new plug sockets and light switch
And these are just the tasks we know of! As we work through the room there’s more that emerges but currently the room looks like:

Also, choosing flooring for the room is hard work! It’s a massive expensive so you want it to be 100% right…
