November! We are so close to welcoming 2026, but this room is the final push before Christmas.

My dad has worked so hard on this room the last few weeks (and David has helped as much as he can when he can – and Arthur too!).

This month has been mainly about decorating (filling/sanding/painting those last little bits), prepping the flooring and finally, getting the floor down!

Arthur absolutely loves helping out when he can; he often grabs the drills or tape measure and gets stuck in!

We are almost there… and then comes the exciting part: getting the furniture! This is going to be a playroom for the time being as it’s directly linked to the kitchen and dining room so it means we can keep an eye on Arthur when we’re prepping food.

The kitchen and dining room are the next tasks and they’re big ones that we’ll likely not start until spring next year. But for now, it’s time to crack on with this room and get the tiny finishing touches complete.
