Well, after a few weeks out of action due to Covid, we were finally able to crack on with the garden.

Arthur loves spending time outdoors so I’ve been making it a priority to tidy up the garden and really push on with all the work we want to do.

We’d been going back and forth on what to do about the brick wall that’s currently in our garden as it’s pretty impractical now we’ve got doors leading outside from the dining room.

I sketched out the below which, I think, will roughly be what we’re working towards:

But to get there requires a lot of graft!!

So far this month, on the few dry and clear days we’ve had, we’ve started on the edging around the grass and started and finished painting the new fence.

We’re planning on taking the brick walls out and sloping the soil. Here, we were working out where to take the grass level to, and how deep the slope would be…

We used gravel boards to neaten the borders for the hedges. We also finished painting the new fence this month too.

Also this month we put in the skylights in the last bedroom. I think these will be the last skylights we install in the house which feels like a big milestone in itself!
