As the dark nights roll in I’m reminded of the very few months we have left of 2023. Before we welcome 2024, here are our final projects for the last few months of the year.

Upstairs bathroom

It may not look it but we are so close to finishing the upstairs bathroom.

This room has gone through a huge transformation – just a few months ago it resembled a dark dingy cupboard!

What’s left to do? Tiling, panelling, painting, fitting the radiator and plumbing everything up but I imagine this room will be complete by the end of October.

Porch

Another room with an end of October deadline, my hope is to get this room done by Halloween. Again, there’s painting and panelling to do in here, along with fitting new flooring and adding a new door.

I don’t think it’ll take too long to do — give us a few weekends and it’ll be finished (I hope)!

David’s office

David’s office is our ‘dream’ final project of the year; it can only be done once the upstairs bathroom is complete as his office is currently a bathroom!

When our new bathroom is all set up we’re ripping the old one out and turning this into an office.

There’s quite a bit to do in here such as adding a new window, insulating, etc, but it’s quite a small space so hopefully once we start we’ll breeze through it.
