House Update: June 2023

This month Arthur’s bedroom furniture arrived! We’re still needing a few more things such as a chair and photo frames but this room is almost finished!

We’ve done a very subtle forest / outdoor theme in here but I wanted this room to be a great transitional room which David and I can easily move into once Arthur’s big boy room (room three) is complete and ready for him.

This month we also put the fence up and painted which has made a huge different to the garden. It still needs so much doing to it but it now looks so much neater.

I do envy those people who manage to paint without getting it all over them!

During one of June’s warm summer evenings David and my dad also dismantled the shed which we’d cleared out last month. We’re happy to be rid of it as it leaked all the time — and we need it out the way so that we can redo the bathroom drainage.

Finally, I started sanding back and repairing the coving in the sitting room. It’s one of those tasks I can get on with whenever I’m in my dirty work gear but it’s a very dusty job. Our plan is to crack on with this room as and when we have spare time and in between jobs too but, as with every other part of the house, there’s still so much to do.
